The Women’s Trading Collective project, a women-led community enterprise, has an exciting opportunity to work with an experienced artist to design, manufacture and market products that will be sold by the project.

During this 8 session course, members will go through the full process from start to finish of creating a high quality, design led product, looking at all key aspects including what is needed to make the product a success, how to source manufacturers, how much will it cost to create, how much it can retail for and where it will sell. This will also involve working with a range of professionals to develop the product brand, decide how it will be marketed and explore routes to market.

This course will be led by Corinne Lewis-Ward of Powder Butterfly, an independent British design company that specialises in high quality British design, gifts and corporate services. Corinne’s current collection is a landmark themed collection covering the areas of London, Newcastle/Gateshead and York and are currently being sold by high street retailers. Visit the powder butterfly website for further information.
