Session details:

Gateshead Cares, a partnership between Gateshead Council, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead Health Partnerships and Gateshead Primary Care Services, are planning to deliver a tailored Menopause Wellbeing Session designed to provide women with clear, practical information and simple lifestyle changes that can help ease symptoms throughout the transition.

Many women now spend up to one-third of their lives in the peri-menopause and post-menopause stages, making accessible and inclusive education more important than ever. This session will be delivered by experienced nurse educators, who have a specialist interest in women’s health and extensive experience supporting women from diverse backgrounds. The session will include:

• Menopause awareness (including perimenopause) and symptom support, with easy, achievable lifestyle strategies
• Health and wellbeing education, including cardiovascular disease prevention and risk reduction
• Practical tools to support improvements in energy, sleep, mood, and long-term health

Following the group session, the facilitators will also offer one-to-one support opportunities to anyone who may benefit from personalised guidance.

Tasty menopause friendly refreshments will be provided.
