Digital Skills for Employment- Free Course for Women in Gateshead
Course Details:
The Choose Your Future Employment Programme has been designed to support women to increase their skills, confidence and move into employment.
This short course will give participants the tools to search for and to apply for jobs online. This also includes how to use templates on Canva and on your smartphone to make CVs and employment documents.
Course Outline
Session 1 – Searching for jobs online, contacting employers and sending emails with attachments including covering letters
Session 2 – Using social media to find job opportunities including LinkedIn
Session 3 – Using Canva and smartphone templates to make a CV and supporting documents
Session 4 – Online safety, how to stay safe online, applying for jobs online and using Zoom & Teams for online interviews

Session 1: Wednesday 6th November 2024 1.00-3.00pm
Session 2: Wednesday 13th November 2024 1.00-3.00pm
No session 20th November 2024
Session 3: Wednesday 27th November 2024 1.00-3.00pm
Session 4: Wednesday 4th December 2024 1.00-3.00pm
Duration: 4 x 2 hour workshops
Location: Local Women Local Enterprise Gateshead Hub
