‘Choose your Future: Preparing for Progression’ – Free Level 1 Accredited Course for Women in Gateshead
Course Details:
The Choose Your Future Employment Programme has been designed to support women to increase their skills, confidence and move into employment.
This course will help you to identify the types of job roles that might be suitable for you and how to pursue them. Through this course, you will be supported to improve your confidence, explore your talents, skills and strengths, identify potential barriers and make a plan to enable you to overcome them and move forward on your journey.
Course Outline
Enrolment & Assessment Session – An introduction to the course and motivational activities
Session 1 – Reflecting on your experiences & thinking about what you’d like to do next
Session 2 – Identifying personal strengths and potential barriers
Session 3 – Identifying opportunities for progression
Session 4 – Pursuing opportunities and exploring the process for your next steps
Session 5 – Applying for opportunities e.g. college, jobs, volunteering
Session 6 – SMART goals and preparing for your next steps
Session Dates:
Enrolment & Assessment session: Tuesday 24th September 2024 12.30-2.30pm
Course Start Date: Tuesday 1st October 2024 12.30-2.30pm
Course End Date: Tuesday 12th November 2024 12.30-2.30pm
Duration: 6 x 2 hour sessions
Location: Local Women Local Enterprise Gateshead Hub
