SUMMARY:Women’s Well-Being & Crafts Session - In partnership with Gem Arts - Gateshead Hub
DESCRIPTION:Session details:\nWe run women’s arts & well-being sessions every Tuesday (in term time) at our Women’s Gateshead Enterprise Hub. Some sessions will be facilitated by Gem Arts Artists and others will be led by members of the group. \nDuring the first session\, the course leader will carryout taster activities and have conversations with the group to find out what  types of art you would like to cover throughout this 6 week programme. SUMMARY:‘Together We Create’ Exhibition Launch - Newcastle City Library
DESCRIPTION:The Millin Charity Launches the Together We Create Exhibition: A Display of Women’s Feelings\, Thoughts and Experiences. \n‘Together We Create’ was funded through the Mayor’s Opportunity Fund to bring women together to capture their experiences through art. \nThe groups had discussions around culture\, identity\, racism\, discrimination as well as what make us both unique and alike and that which collectively brings us together. Throughout this programme\, the women produced pieces of art sharing their stories of sisterhood\, solidarity and hope with the wider community. \nWe invite you to our Local Exhibition for the opportunity to see the art\, meet the artists involved and hear from some of the women who took part. \nThe Exhibition Launch Event will take place at the Bewick Hall located on Floor 2 of Newcastle City Library.
