Meet Hristina

Hristina joined The Millin Charity’s Local Women Local Enterprise Programme in July 2022 for support to set up her own cake business from home.

Hristina received a range of one-to-one business support and took part in the Going to Market & Trade for a Day Courses where she was able to take part in weekly sessions which took her through the steps of setting up a business from scratch and prepared her to start selling at market. This included legalities for running a business, insurance, pricing, branding and practical support for trading to the public.

Hrisitina registered as self-employed and launched her cake business, Sweet Sin, in November 2022 and had her first public sales event at The Millin Charity’s Christmas Market at The Newcastle Grainger Market, where members of the team were on hand to support Hrisitna through the process.

Hristina is continuing to grow her business and promoting her services online as well as continuing to attend markets and crafts fairs to raise her profile.
