Short Training Courses
Short training courses in areas such as craft and sewing provide opportunities for women to unearth new skills, and stimulate new ideas for products that can be created for sale. These courses also effectively provide a ‘soft entry point’ for women who have not yet considered self-employment, but aspire to meet new people and learn new skills.
The concept of enterprise is introduced through course delivery, and participants are encouraged to enrol to participate in enterprise-based training. Short training courses can be tailored to the specific needs of communities, and to complement existing programme and project delivery.
